The Carinth Youth Hotel in Lungau is already 30 years old and has left its mark. But instead of radically renewing the building and wasting existing materials, the design studio Identity Lab was commissioned to develop a concept.
Identity Lab took on the challenge of integrating the patina of the Carinth Youth Hotel and bringing in a breath of fresh air. The result is a concept that respects the history of the building and, at the same time, integrates the target group of children and young people. The interior has been carefully redesigned, emphasising elements of the original architecture. Particular emphasis was placed on the sustainable use of existing materials and resources.
